As the 1937 card suggested might be the case, there are now three recognised species;

Fragrant Orchid - G. conopsea,

Marsh Fragrant Orchid - G. densiflora, and

Heath Fragrant Orchid - G. .borealis.

However they are very difficult to distinguish from each other.
